Service Description
Rad Tales Comic Academy (Ages 8–18) Where Young Artists Become Comic Creators This isn't just an art class—it's a year-long creative adventure! At Rad Tales Comic Academy, students learn how to create, publish, showcase, and even sell their own comic book and artwork while building confidence, creativity, and lifelong artistic skills. Guided by the team at Machete Comics, students experience the complete comic creation process—from developing original characters and stories to creating finished comic pages using traditional and digital techniques. Throughout the Academy, students will: • Learn comic storytelling, character design and illustration • Explore traditional penciling, inking, colouring and lettering • Create original comic pages and artwork • Contribute to the annual Rad Tales comic book (print & digital) • Have opportunities to turn artwork into prints and other creative products • Build confidence, communication skills and creative problem-solving The Academy also includes exciting real-world experiences: -Holiday Pop-Up Showcase -Holiday & Year-End Celebration Parties -Rad Kids Comic & Art Con, where eligible students can earn a complimentary artist booth to showcase and sell their creations. Flexible Scheduling Life gets busy! We offer two weekly class times, allowing students who miss a class to make it up by attending the alternate class whenever space is available. Program Details Season: September–June Approximately 30 Classes 2 Hours Per Class Ages: 8–18 Small Class Sizes | Limited Enrollment Whether your child is just beginning or already loves drawing, Rad Tales Comic Academy provides a fun, encouraging environment where imagination comes to life and young artists become published comic creators.

Cancellation Policy
*Thank you for your interest in our workshops at Machete Comics! To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants, please review our registration policy below. 1. Eligibility Our workshops are designed for children ages 8-15. Parental or guardian consent is required for participants under 18. 2. Registration Process To register for a workshop, please complete the online registration form available on our website. Spaces are limited, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Early registration is encouraged to secure your spot. 3. Payment Full payment is required at the time of registration to confirm your spot in the workshop. Accepted payment methods include [list accepted payment methods, e.g., credit/debit cards, PayPal]. 4. Cancellation Policy Full Refunds: If Machete Comics cancels the entire workshop, you will receive a full refund. If a workshop is canceled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, an alternate date will be set. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled date, you may request a refund. 5. Transfer Policy If you cannot attend, you may transfer your registration to another participant with prior notice to us at least 48 hours before the workshop. 6. Health and Safety We prioritize the health and safety of all participants. Please inform us of any allergies or medical conditions when registering. Participants may be required to follow specific health and safety protocols, e.g., mask-wearing, social distancing 7.
