ZAP! BAM! CREATE! Comic Book Crash Course Kids (Ages 8–14) | Length: 2 Hours | Cost: $25 per student Location: BROOM FACTORY, 305 RIDEAU ST, KINGSTON, ONTARIO, K7K 3A9 *All Supplies Provided! (Pencil, markers, ruler, eraser, and paper) *Bring a snack & drink Have a wild imagination? Love superheroes, funny stories, or cool cartoons? In just two hours, you’ll learn how to create your very own comic book—just like the pros! Led by Chris Cochrane, a real-life comic book artist and former student of the famous Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art, this class is perfect for kids who love to draw, tell stories, or dream up wild adventures. What You’ll Do: + Design your own character (superhero, villain or other!) + Create a short comic book story with your original characters + Learn how to draw action, expressions, and cool scenes + Make your own comic cover and/or comic pages to take home! Whether you're a beginner or already love drawing, this crash course is all about having fun, being creative, and learning awesome new skills along the way. What You’ll Learn: + Basic drawing tips and character design + How to write fun, short comic stories + Problem-solving through storytelling + Comic book layout and how to make your pages look epic! No experience needed—just bring your imagination and we’ll help with the rest! By the end of the class, you’ll have your very own comic book masterpiece to take home and show off!

*Thank you for your interest in our workshops at Machete Comics! To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants, please review our registration policy below. 1. Eligibility Our workshops are designed for children ages 8-15. Parental or guardian consent is required for participants under 18. 2. Registration Process To register for a workshop, please complete the online registration form available on our website. Spaces are limited, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. Early registration is encouraged to secure your spot. 3. Payment Full payment is required at the time of registration to confirm your spot in the workshop. Accepted payment methods include [list accepted payment methods, e.g., credit/debit cards, PayPal]. 4. Cancellation Policy Full Refunds: If Machete Comics cancels the entire workshop, you will receive a full refund. If a workshop is canceled due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances, an alternate date will be set. If you are unable to attend the rescheduled date, you may request a refund. 5. Transfer Policy If you cannot attend, you may transfer your registration to another participant with prior notice to us at least 48 hours before the workshop. 6. Health and Safety We prioritize the health and safety of all participants. Please inform us of any allergies or medical conditions when registering. Participants may be required to follow specific health and safety protocols, e.g., mask-wearing, social distancing 7.
